Meghan and her good friend Jessica Mulroney did a spot of retail therapy together as they were seen shopping, presumably for Christmas presents, on a chilly Toronto day (December 11). The falling snow didn’t stop either of them from looking stylish head to toe, even wearing high heels as they browsed various shops in the Canadian city (mind you they are holding onto each other; smart!).
Now at first I was concerned to see what appeared to me to be a real fur collar on Meghan‘s jacket, but rest assured fellow animal lovers, after tracking down the jacket ID (Smythe!), I am happy to say it is faux fur. Which begs the question, why would anyone wear real fur when you can get faux fur that looks just as “good”? Anyway, I could go on about animal rights all day errrday, but let’s get to the fashion deets, shall we?
1. Smythe Detachable Faux Fur Collar Flak Jacket in the colour Army, featuring front flap and patch pockets, and button cuffed sleeves – revolve.com. You can also get this style in blazer form from shoptiques.com.
2. Celine Trio Crossbody Messenger Bag in Green with gold-tone hardware, adjustable flat shoulder strap and foil stamped logo at front. I believe this is from the 2015 Collection by Phoebe Philo. Celine is always a bank breaker, but if you have the dough (go girl!) you can still snatch up the Burgundy version from therealreal.com.
3. Sarah Flint Sophia Booties, suede (don’t get me started again) booties with a folded, asymmetrical shaft, rounded toe and covered stiletto heel. Meghan loves this brand! – shopbop.com.
Side note: Jessica Mulroney is a fashion stylist and wife of Ben Mulroney, son of former Canadian prime minister Brian Mulroney.
